Running Form Coaching for All Abilities
Janet will help you unlock your potential to become a successful runner!
Janet Runyan, a nationally-ranked distance runner, has coached hundreds of elite and recreational runners over the past 25 years to improve their running form – with profound results.
What type of runner are you?
What runners are saying about Janet’s coaching …

Charles Corfield – 3rd Place Overall: Leadville 2007Janet Runyan has an excellent eye for running form. She sees details in your motion that are visible only to the expert eye. I credit Janet with making a huge contribution to my recovery from a dislocated pelvis and subsequently garnering numerous ultramarathon trophies, including placing 3rd overall at my first Leadville 100 miler in 2007.

Dr. Mary Poole – Running has become my path of personal growth!
Janet changed my life because I am now comfortable in my body, at all times, not just when running. Understanding the body leads to understanding the emotional and spiritual side of life, so running has become my path of personal growth. My legs feel like feathers instead of heavy weights and running is a joy, not a chore.
A few years ago I lumbered through my first 5k. I am now running marathons and consistently placing in the top of my age group.

Mónica “Toti” Fernández – First Place Ultraman 2000, 2001
I suffered from knee injuries for 9 years. While living in Boulder training as a professional triathlete, I went to Janet Runyan when I heard she worked on form and could help fix injuries by correcting the form. And I have to say that it’s been over 7 years, and I’m still running happier than ever and every day appreciating the help of Janet. After working with Janet, I won the Ultraman World Championship in Hawaii in 2000 and again in 2001. I also ran The Marathon Des Sables, in the Sahara desert, and finished the Leadville Trail 100.
I see people around me that have stopped running or that suffer from different ailments and I wish I could send them over to Janet to get the help I got!

Carol Knaack – Thankful to find my inner athlete
I was very active and athletic in my youth. As I approached my 40’s, I knew it was time to get my body back into shape. As my body began to change and fitness level improved, I wanted to challenge myself more and incorporate running. However, I had an issue with my knee which caused pain every time I tried to run. I went to my doctor, and she was the one who recommended I contact Janet. I had never worked one on one with a coach before and was not sure what to expect.
Once I met Janet, my mind was at ease due to her kindness, compassion and uncanny ability to evaluate running form and help me make proper adjustments. I am happy to report my running program is still going strong in my mid-50’s. Thank you Janet for your insight and ongoing support!!

Beth – Former Professional Triathlete and Bicycle Racer
I have gone from being a compulsive, injury prone runner to someone who can now appreciate the importance of training smart, running efficiently and staying in the game.
Janet’s x-ray vision is impressive. She can recognize tension in my body that I am not even aware of it. Her conservative, step by step approach is how I am able to continue running, even after some significant set backs, including a broken pelvis.
I feel extremely fortunate to work with her and continue to learn something new every session! I also know that my work with her has helped me to become a better swimming instructor and person. Can’t ask for more than that!

Elise Howes – I had a crazy dream of completing a full Ironman!
I had a crazy dream of completing a full Ironman in 2017. When I set that goal in Feb 2015, I could not run a 5k without my heart rate going to the high end of “sane” and without hurting my back and knees.
That’s where Janet came to my rescue. When she looked at me run, she saw biomechanics that either were working together or creating problems. She helped me tweak my running form to completely eliminate my joint pains.
I completed a 10k in July as part of an Olympic distance triathlon! The run was hard, but I was very, very pleased with the results and so thankful for all Janet’s superb guidance. She is practical, gentle, encouraging, and brilliant at what she does. Thank you Janet! I am on my way!!
